This keyboard design totally does away with the need for a CAP LOCK key. If you want a capital 'A' then press the top portion of the key. If you want a lower case 'a' then simply press the lower portion. The original CAP LOCK key was replaced with a left side Enter key. The Shift keys were maintained for user-defined functions.

There is no way that touch typing would be more efficient with a "spring toggle" setup. I believe (and this should be completely self-evident) that this proposed keyboard would produce errors with an amount and frequency greatly rivaling that of the standard QWERTY keyboard. The reason that the first commenter could not see the efficiency and practically of this design is that there is no efficiency or practicality to be seen.

To all who missed it, this keyboard does not ADD keys. Each key simply serves a dual purpose, press the bottom for lower case and press the top for upper case.
